NexusGuild is built around the idea that communities thrive when people treat each other with respect.
These guidelines define the baseline behavior expected of every user on the platform.
Violations are handled by the moderation team and tracked through our strike system.
1. Be Respectful
Disagreement is fine. Hostility is not.
- Do not harass, intimidate, or bully other users โ in public channels or private messages.
- Do not send unsolicited, unwanted, or repeated messages to someone who has asked you to stop.
- Do not target users based on identity, including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion,
gender, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
2. No Hate Speech
Content that promotes, glorifies, or calls for violence or discrimination against any group of people
is not allowed. This includes slurs, dehumanizing language, and extremist ideology.
Hate speech violations are treated as a severe strike and may result in immediate
account suspension.
3. No Spam or Manipulation
- Do not send repetitive, unwanted messages, bulk solicitations, or advertise without permission.
- Do not create multiple accounts to evade moderation actions.
- Do not use bots or automated tools to disrupt others' experience.
- Do not attempt to manipulate platform metrics (views, votes, etc.) artificially.
4. Keep Content Appropriate
- NSFW content (explicit sexual material, graphic violence) is only permitted in clearly marked
18+ channels where the server owner has explicitly enabled it.
- Do not glorify or promote self-harm or suicide.
Public-facing identity and naming
Usernames, display names, server names, server descriptions, and profile content are visible to all users
regardless of server age-restrictions. They must be appropriate for a general audience at all times.
- Do not use sexually explicit, graphic, or obscene language in usernames, display names, server names,
or server descriptions.
- Do not use slurs, hate symbols, or language targeting a protected group in any public-facing identity field.
- Violations will result in a forced name change and may count as a strike depending on severity.
Illegal content โ zero tolerance
The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate permanent ban
with no appeal. NexusGuild will report violations to the appropriate authorities where required by law.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) โ any sexual content involving minors, real or
generated, including AI-produced imagery. This is a criminal offense in most jurisdictions.
- Content that facilitates, promotes, or glorifies trafficking, exploitation, or abuse of minors.
- Content that facilitates terrorism, mass violence, or acts designated as crimes under applicable law.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) โ sharing explicit images or recordings of a real person
without their consent.
Zero-tolerance violations bypass the strike system entirely. There is no warning, no appeal process,
and no reinstatement. Reports involving CSAM are referred to the National Center for Missing &
Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local law enforcement.
5. Protect Privacy
- Do not share someone else's personal information (real name, address, phone, workplace, etc.)
without their consent โ this is known as doxxing and is strictly prohibited.
- Do not record or share private conversations without the consent of all participants.
- Do not impersonate another user, public figure, or NexusGuild staff.
Impersonating NexusGuild staff or using the NexusGuild name/logo to deceive others is a zero-tolerance violation.
- Do not exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the platform. Report them to the team instead.
- Do not use third-party tools to bypass rate limits, gain unfair access, or scrape user data.
- Do not attempt to compromise other users' accounts.
7. Follow Server Rules
Each server on NexusGuild may have its own rules that go beyond these community guidelines.
Server moderators have the authority to enforce their own rules within their communities.
Platform-wide guidelines always apply regardless of server rules.
Enforcement โ The Strike System
When a violation occurs, the moderation team may issue a strike on your account.
You will be notified automatically via a direct message from NexusGuild.
| Active Strikes |
Consequence |
| 1 strike | Warning โ no restriction, but noted on your account |
| 2 strikes | Temporary suspension (duration at moderator discretion) |
| 3 strikes | Permanent account ban |
Strikes expire after 6 months from the date of issuance.
Expired strikes no longer count toward the three-strike threshold but remain visible to moderators.
Severe violations
Certain violations bypass the strike system entirely and result in an immediate permanent ban.
This includes โ but is not limited to โ CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, doxxing,
targeted harassment campaigns, impersonating staff, and content facilitating terrorism or trafficking.
See ยง4 โ Illegal Content for the full list.
